Race Recap: 2012 TriColumbia Kidz Triathlon

Well, it was bound to happen. We raced in a triathlon before recapping the previouse one, and now we're less than a week away from the next one!

The field at this year's TriColumbia Kidz Triathlon was huge! That meant that the herd had to keep their wits about them in transition and on the multiple loop bike course. Fortunately for Coach Christy and our parents, our triathletes are easy to spot in their super cool tri kits. COWgratulations Abbie, Alex, Anna, Austin H., Benjamin L., Benjamin N., Blake O., Brady, Brendan, Caela, Haley, Kaitlyn, Megan, Mikaele, Sam, Sydney D., and Sydney O. on your TriColumbia Kidz Triathlon performances! A special COWgratulations to Alex on his first triathlon as a MINI COW TRI CLUB triathlete, and to Anna, Benjamin L. and Sydney O. on their second place age group finishes!

2012 Nottingham Kids Triathlon Athlete Guide Posted

Thy Triathlete Guide has been posted and it's chock full of important pre-race and race day information. In it you’ll find information about our mandatory bike and helmet safety check, free pre-race clinic, and USA Triathlon's new Supplemental Youth Rules. You'll also find the course maps and a schedule of race day activities.

2012 USAT Junior Elite National Championship

Friend of the club and 2011 Maryland Youth Triathlon Series spokesathlete Hunter Lussi was first out of the water for the men at the USA Triathlon Junior Elite National Championship at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH, Saturday.

2010 and 2012 Bay Bridge Swim Champion and sometimes MINI COW TRI CLUB coach Andrew Gyenis was third out of the water behind Lussi and Farkas at the USA Triathlon Junior Elite National Championship at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH, Saturday.

Luke Farkas' solo breakaway on the bike helped him hold off Tony Smoragiewicz and William Huffman for first place at the USA Triathlon Junior Elite National Championship at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH, Saturday.

With a 4:56 per mile pace, Smoragiewicz set the fastest run split but it wasn't enough to close Farkas' lead off the bike at the USA Triathlon Junior Elite National Championship at Voice of America Park in West Chester, OH, Saturday.
