FREE YOUTH TRANSITION CLINIC AT MULTISPORT WORLD

Declan making quick work of T1 at the 2011 Frederick Kids Triathlon

Transitions are often called the fourth sport of triathlon. MINI COW TRI CLUB is offering a free clinic to help take the mystery out of the swim-to-bike and bike-to-run transitions and get your young triathlete MOOtivated for the 2012 triathlon season!

One part presentation, one part hands-on, the Youth Transition Clinic will cover basic triathlon equipment needs, transition tips and tricks, bike mount/dismount techniques and safety.

Following the presentation portion of the clinic there will be a few minutes for Q&A, and then the first 24 youth triathletes to register will have an opportunity to put their new skills to practice during hands-on drills and a fun relay event. The clinic is free but registration is required.

When: Saturday, March 24, 2012, 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Where: Multisport World Conference and Expo, Hanley Center for Athletic Excellence, 10900 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda, MD 20852
Who: Children ages 7-15
Fee: Free, registration required
Registration: Register online at imATHLETE.com

Due to space limitations as well as the safety of our youth triathletes and coaches, we can only invite the first 24 children that register to participate in the hands-on portion of the clinic.

There's a bunch stuff at the 2012 Multisport World Conference and Expo for grownup triathletes too—six time Ironman World Champion Dave Scott is the keynote speaker—so hoof it on over to Multisport World's website and register yourself. Admission to the expo and seminars is free!
